What we plan to offer

None of this is in effect. The terms will be aligned with partners and with the rules that apply, then published in plain language. We do not promise that everyone will catch a fish.
First catch
If nobody in the group catches a fish during the guided time, a credit toward a later stay. The amount will be set at launch.
Weather postponement
A closure, a forest fire, a blocked road, or a serious weather alert: the stay moves at no charge, or becomes a credit.
A softer cancellation
We want to leave behind the deposit you can never get back. Exact windows will be negotiated before opening. Transferring the stay to someone else is part of the plan.
Nothing special to pack
If a piece of the Trousse is missing or broken on site, we replace it or refund its value.

A pourvoirie — an outfitter — is a Quebec business that offers lodging and access to fishing, sometimes hunting, in nature. It is not backcountry camping, and it is not a city hotel. Beladorme is aiming at comfortable cabins you can reach in an ordinary car, for people who have never fished.
We will choose comfortable sites for first-timers, and show cabin photos before anyone books. Today no outfitter is signed: the pictures on this page are atmosphere, not partner places.
That is part of the plan: rods, bait, a net, life jackets. You bring clothes. The Lake notebook will say which ones, for the season and for children if they are coming.
We are looking for stocked lakes, with a guide for the introduction. If nobody catches a fish during that guided time, the planned First-catch guarantee is a credit toward a later stay. It is not a promise of a trophy, and it is not in effect yet.
The introduction is short and shaped for about ages 6 to 14. There is the fire, and depending on the site, a trail, a canoe, or a swim. The stay is a beautiful night, not a fishing marathon.
The package gathers the gear, the licence, the guide, the preparation, and room to postpone if the weather turns. Doing it yourself takes time, purchases, and often a deposit that is hard to recover. We will publish a clear comparison once real rates are known.

It will be included or bought for you, with the rules explained in a few minutes. The exact mechanics, especially for children, depend on the regulations. We will check them before reservations open.
The sites we keep will be reachable in an ordinary car, under three hours from Montreal, with a detailed route. If a road is wrong for a normal car, it is wrong for Beladorme.
That is what the gift cards are for: the person picks a date in the season, and can postpone. They are not for sale. The holiday form only asks to be told when they launch.
The guide shows how to clean and cook it, or how to let it go. A cooler is part of the package. Nobody is expected to know this on arrival.
